Update
I realized it had been a while since we put a straight forward update on here… so allow me to break it down for you.
We’ve been writing/recording demos for our 3rd album. We’re slowly turning the corner on this process and Im starting to feel like the core of the album has begun to rear its head. We’ve had some meetings with some potential producers and the excitement is building.
As far as the songs go… there are alot to choose from still and they run the gamut of everything we’ve ever wanted to be as a band. its gonna be really interesting to see what this collection becomes because of course we’re still writing new songs on the daily and each time a new one is born it is somewhat immediately competing with a hundred others for our attention. regardless these are by far our most advanced works. its been a ridiculously odd luxury to have time to truly focus and refine our ideas before entering a studio. in an effort to avoid redundancy im going to end this now with 2 words…. thank you.

Can I suggest putting out more than 1 album? How about a whole cohesive collection of songs on multiple albums. Every Circa song is a blessing to this world. Share the love, release more songs!

this band is constantly something i find myself revisiting and appreciating more and more every time i do. i’m so intrigued by all the songs and i just can’t put my finger on why. the potential in giving you guys more and more time needed to refine this album is really exciting and i very much look forward to hear and expirience the next album evolution

I can’t wait to hear more from you guys! I really like how you’re exploring other instruments and styles! It’s exciting to hear how passionate you guys are about making music and I can’t wait to hear your babies compete for my attention as well!
Have you considered doing something along the lines of making several EPs in the style of Thrice’s Alchemy Index? You could group the songs together that work together and put out several smaller albums that would be released like every 3 months or so. Would be stellar!

Circa’s 3rd album or any album for that matter doesn’t need to be “perfection”. Life isn’t perfect. People aren’t perfect. If it isn’t perfect it isn’t going to be a failure or a disappointment. It will be what it is… and that will be different for each individual who listens to it. We each have different life experiences that will bring different meanings to each of us who listen to this music or any other music. We will relate to it in our own way. No need to put that kind of pressure on anything.

any hint as to what the theme of the new album might be?
and i think a single album with the most standout songs, and then a follow up EP or something would be better than a double album or something like Thrice’s Alchemy Index or Say Anything’s In Defense of the Genre.

Frozen Creek was such a good sample, no one wants to wait.
But like many others I have to suggest you guys put out more than one album. If you guys have hundreds of songs….that’s like hundreds of inexplicably boundless emotional works of art that we’d love to hear. Make mini albums!!!! I’d pay any price to hear anything circa produces

i actually disagree with a lot of the EP/mini-album/double LP/blah blah blah ideas on here. I personally enjoy listening (and understanding) albums as a whole, and i can’t really take a few songs on a disc here and there seriously. At the same time, a double disc is just too fucking long. Just drop a nice 40-45 minute record and make sure everything is perfect together. Maybe like how radiohead did it with Kid A and Amnesiac; somewhat similar in sound, but definitely two drastically different albums. Imagine if they had just released Amnesiac as singles like they originally planned, those songs would completely lose their meaning.
