The Cove.
I highly recommend this movie. There are some things that go on in the world that you almost don’t want to know about. But awareness is important. It is the only true catalyst for change. The reality of some of life’s dark secrets can be downright crippling. So Is it better to sit by and pretend everything is wonderful and cozy in the world or is it important for each of us to embrace that this is our planet and that we share some responsibility in all that goes on here? I guess that is for each of us to decide individually. Watching this movie though, I am reminded, there will be no to true change until all of us decide to stand up and make our voices heard.

I love hearing about what you guys are interested in. Not that I wouldn’t have heard about this otherwise, but it’s cool to hear it coming from you. You should all do a blog about what you’re currently listening to/watching/reading etc. Basically list anything that you’ve been doing outside of Circa Survive. We’re all interested!

The Cove is incredible. It just got confirmed for the Tokyo International Film Festival which hopefully means that the Japanese media will boost its coverage of the film. Plus it’s getting Oscar buzz for a best documentary nomination

Talking to someone who is actually japanese,
in the movie they claim that they are talking about one
“cove” when in reality the locations at which they claim are
“the cove” are a series of different places, they are in fact many kilometers apart.
Im not saying they dont do horrible things,
I would just recommend to not believe everything you see in a movie.
The power of editing can have a profound effect.
Look at Michael Moore, and other documentaries.
They all seemed true, when in fact not all the truth was being shown.
Be skeptical.
Im not convinced this movie tells the entire truth.

This is extremely crazy. I wonder what else happens every day that goes on like this. It’s really messed up though. It’s hard to see what is happening when most are locked inside of conveniently imposed buildings from sun up to sun down every day. So people blindly miss all of the things that go on in the world like this. Crazy to think about though. I wonder when people will get up and do something. I’m trying to do anything I can my self to help, and to at least not do anything that is corrupt, but you can’t beg everyone and it just isn’t worth it to try with out enough people participating. We need some crazy 2nd hippie movement or something because that really seemed to be working back in the 60’s and I wonder to this day why it completely died down. Still though, very interesting stuff. I really want to watch this movie now though. PS. I’m glad Circa Survive did a song for Invisible children. That was a great thing to do to spread awareness about that. Someone in my old school had an invisible children club endorsed by their foundation. Good stuff
