I love update #5 what a sick little sequins video guys. you guys should make a movie like that of random stuff, it reminded me of how much I love & miss you guys, Brendan’s technique on the drums is so clean its like a strawberry cup cake & Anthony’s voice toward the end is real sweet too! South Florida needs Circa PLEASE COME DOWN SOON we need a survival fix!

Ha, I was just about to say something about that Colin. Sick video. Steve, your drum tracking in this video sounded amazing. I like how you opened it with the casual, -I’m just eating a banana and then- “Oh, hi there”, haha, nice. Brendan’s segment was awesome. Liked how at the end you realize, “oh he’s walking backwards”, at least I didn’t realize that until the end when he was walking next to those people walking into the store. Ha, guess that means that he was messing up the cheeses or whatever it was when it looked like he was organizing them. Then Colin’s disinterest in being a part of w/e it was they had going on, very funny : ) My friend Ricky who just started listening to Circa Survive was doing something but could here this video and was like “Is that cock-rock?” in reference to end of this video.
Can’t wait for this album!!!

Jim, it was in reference to that “cock-rock” (quoting my friend Ricky) session that they were doing where they all had ridiculous names, but as you can see he gave in by playing the xylophone type instrument

I think what you were saying about each member wanting to play “the cool part” is interesting. While this is true, I don’t think that’s what makes a band great. It calls to mind the old saying, “There’s no ‘I’ in team.” What really makes “the cool part” is when everyone is working together and feeding off each other. Do that and the cool parts will just happen (Such is obvious in “Handshakes at Sunrise” and “The Great Golden Baby”)
